Food is powerful too. It can be healing. The way you eat and what you eat has one of the biggest impacts on how you feel.
Food is not just scientific. It’s emotional too. Changing your diet requires a knowledge of what you want to achieve, how to achieve it, and the emotional wherewithal to make those changes. Eating can feel very personal, vulnerable, and intimate.

As a certified holistic nutritionist, Lisa knows that food can be fuel and medicine. The kinds of foods you eat, and how much, can impact your health and wellbeing deeply. Herbs and supplements can change your experience of life. And, eating healthy in our modern world can be a real challenge. The odds are stacked against us to make the right decision. You need to create habits that make the decision you want to make with food, the easy decision.
Lisa has used her love of food and nutrition to overcome her own health challenges. She lost over 100lbs so she knows the challenging journey of extreme weight loss. She has also discovered how to use nutrition to reverse pre-diabetes, PCOS, anxiety and depression. As a child she spent her summers cooking in her grandmother’s restaurant and has learned cooking techniques and ways to use any ingredient by living in 7 countries. Training for triathlons while working long hours in a demanding eduction career taught her how to simplify healthy eating through meal prep and organization. She also discovered that losing weight went deeper than diet. Lisa experienced significant trauma that led to her weight gain, she learned that losing the weight on her body, was completely intertwined with losing the weight of her past trauma. To her surprise healing her body helped heal her mind, healing her mind helped heal her body and bit by bit she recovered and rediscovered her true self.
Using knowledge gained from her studies, practical techniques from her own experience, and empathetic coaching from her years as a teacher, mentor, trainer and coach in the business world, she might be just the person to help you transform your health, your relationship with eating, and your body.
What happens in Nutrition Coaching?
We work together to identify your goals with nutrition. Whether thats healing from an illness, losing weight, having more energy, being happier and managing your mental health, or just generally feeling better. We will look at your current diet, lifestyle, and behaviors to identify what will help you get to your goals. You’ll get a customized eating plan, guidelines, and practical advice for how to make the change. Most importantly, you’ll get support and encouragement along the way to help you make the change.
